I like movies. I like movies a lot. I’ve got a big collection of DVDs, and I’ve seen more horror movies than anyone I know. So, when I heard about the Miso application for the iPhone, I got interested right away.
Miso is like Foursquare or Gowalla in a way, in that you “check in” to locations, but in this case, the location is secondary to what you’re there to watch, whether it’s a television show or a movie, either in the theater or on DVD. Like the “pure” location services, Miso awards badges based on how many movies/shows you’ve watched, with individual categories broken down by genre, as well as some special badges (e.g. “Caped Crusader”, presumably for watching a raft of Batman movies).
